About this time last year me and the wife passed a women with her child in a stroller...the child appears to have down syndrome..something to that effect....
The Mom is holding a sighn saying they need $ for the childs care....at the time it was dark, cold and standing next to a busy road...didnt seem to smart.... Well today I pass the same family, in the same spot, with same sad sighn 
Now my ol man (god rest his soul) brought me up to help folks, and I will hold up traffic to give the shriners some $ at a light... But I havent seen these folks since this time last year I drive by that spot half dozen times a week so I know they aint been there... So am I wrong n thinking there using there poor kid just to get some $ for whatever reason?  If they r that bad off wouldnt they be out more then once a year?

I dont think so, I Ran into a lady outside walmart saying she was needing money for her church to feed the hungrey so I told her instead of giving her money I would go back in and buy some can goods and stuff and she informed me that her church wouldnt accept that.. that they need money only. Well she didnt get nothing out of me!

I told her that I would buy her some food and she refused, saying she only wanted the money. No thanks. |

When I worked in downtown Atlanta, there was a couple dragging around two kids. I'd see them for a couple of days, and then they'd disappear. They would show back up about every three months. These guys had the worst luck of anybody I'd ever met. Seems every time I saw them, their house had just burned down. I bought them all lunch more than once at the McDonalds. Figured it was the only meal the kids might get that day.
The really sad part about these stories is the innocent kids who are affected by the shitty decisions their parents have made. They starve so their parents can feed their drug habits. That's probably not the worst of it either.

It's probably not a child. I've heard the stories. The panhandlers union. Those aren't kids...Those are midgets. You see the average child can't maintain the rigorous 12 hour schedules looking wretched. It's just too hard for kids to look and act the part. So they use midgets. Midgets doused in rum. The midgets, because of the thorough rum dousing, can neither fight nor run away. They just look like a 8yo with down syndrome in a kmart stroller who has creamed corn on his coat and drools.
Gentlemen, earlier in this thread the answer was already disclosed. Give them canned food. The reason, my good sir, you were rebuffed from giving out the canned goodies is quite simple. They did not have enough velocity. |

Back in college, I was with my girlfriend down in little five points, and this bum was hitting me up hard for some cash, saying it was for food and stuff.
We finally ditched him, and about an hour latter we were at the local grocery store getting some snacks, and can anyone guess who was standing behind us in the checkout line, with a new bottle in his hand? |
