A guy wants to trade some car parts I would like for my AK. He is of legal age and could legally buy a gun from any FFL. Are there any forms that need be filled or phone calls that need to be made on my part? Or do I just make the trade?

get a copy of his DL and a bill of sale with serial number.

At the risk of sounding ignorant, how do I get a bill of sale with a serial number?

edit: If this guy went crazy and did something illegal, would the gun still be listed under my name? That's what worries me the most.

you write up a normal bill of sale you write down S# have two places for buyer and seller to sign and get a copy of DL
