Passed in senate despite over 70% of Americans being against it. Reminds me of a little poen I once read. We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. |
| buddy you hit the nail on the head, the problem is that America has become fat and happy. the people that truely believe what you posted are considered moonbats and militants. i've been posting for a while that we are NOT represented by our elected officials, they forget that that we elect them. i wish that something could be done, there have been other post about the army having troops ready for "civil unrest" ready by October first, now comes a very unpopular vote and an election that is around the corner that will affect America in every way. We have a presidential hopeful that want the police to step in on adds he does like, image if Obama gets elected with the army in place to "supress" civil unrest and the "patriot act"giving him absolute police powers. some would say that's a long shot, is it? America is sick and tired of the way the government does things, but are they really sick and tired of it or just irritaded enough to complain? |
