Does anyone have any idea when the range in Madison is going to open back up? I've got some rifles that I need to break in and a shotgun I need to practice with. |
No more NFA fun at Trimble Bridge. Have got together with others that owned NFA and had some great shots back in the day. Ahhh, thee good ol days. TD |

They closed it with (IMHO) no interest in or intention of re-opening. They closed it because of all the inbred hicks that would drag out TVs, washing machines, beer bottles, etc. to use as targets. Several times our little HTF gang would have a “cleaning day” and would spend an hour or so with dozens of us picking up trash. The next weekend the range would be back to a trash dump. So, thanks to all you lazy, irresponsible, Elmer Fudd hicks that spoiled it for the rest of us! I’m sure you aren’t reading this because you are too stupid to use a computer or you decided the monitor would make a nice target, but I still offer a nice internet middle finger salute to you. |

My feelings exactly. A buddy of mine (the guy you may have seen there with with the water cooled semi-1919) called the DNR and they told him they didn't even have a plan for what they wanted to do with it yet, so I would guess that funding for the project doesn't exist yet either. Just face it, it'll probably never be reopened, no plans, no money for it, and to many with IQ's lower than the outside air temp. wanting to abuse it. |
