Can anyone suggest a good range near or around Macon Ga? Pref one which holds a few 3 gun or USPSA matches as well. Thanks GAHTF! |
| when i lived in the macon area i was a member of the marion road gun club, i think it's marionroad.com, as far as other shooting clubs there is a fud shotgun range in forsyth. good luck. by the way, marion rd club is great on sunday mornings before church lets out, my boys and i could go and have the run of the place, they did have black rifle matches on saturdays and service rifle matches, good luck |

(Let me preface this by saying I'm not a member, and have no first hand knowledge.) Marion Road GC has gotten a little picky about who they're letting join after some recent issues- or so I've heard through the grapevine... those stories can balloon out of control pretty quickly though. I'm not sure if they're taking applications now or not. There's also Cool Springs in Roberta- pistols only. And they put on a heck of a USPSA match one weekend a month (4th Sunday I think?) There is Griswoldville Gun Club- rifle and pistol ranges (I'm a member of this one) and a great USPSA match on the third Sunday of the month. I don't know of any local 3 gun matches- I'd love to find one though! |
Supposedly, Marion Road had fixed the membership issue, as I tried for a while to get in and could not. They had some scumbag pos thugs get in that caused some problems but that has been weeded out now. I was told to try again and that there would be no problem. that happened while i was a member, punks shooting up the place. i miss that gun club, my boys and i had a blast on sunday mornings. we dropped out when we moved to vidalia . we used to get monthly e-mails showing pics of the place after being shot up , a friend of mine from warner robins is still a member and said the same thing that they think they weeded out all the "gangsta"
