[ARCHIVED THREAD] - GFL background check ?

On May 2nd I applied for my GFL. As of June 27th I haven't received it. So I went to the Monroe Co. courthouse to inquire about it. The secretary looked at my app and said the GBI and FBI checks were back, but they were waiting for my mental health check. I asked who performed the check, but she didn't know. She told me it usually takes 7-10 weeks to get everything back. Can anyone tell me who does the mental health check so I may follow up on it myself?

AFAIK each county sets their own minimum standards for issuing a GFL so they will need to tell you who they use for the mental health check.

If you can pass a 4473 background check the GFL shouldn't be an issue unless there are local issues that the FBI isn't aware of.

Thank's for the help guys! I called the corthouse and the lady still wouldn't tell me who did the check, but she did say it went to Atlanta and should be back this week.
