| where do I take old worn USA flags for proper dispolsol? I put out a new one every year on this day, right now I keep my old ones folded in a wooden box, but the box is getting full, I do not want to disrespect my country or it's flag by doing this improperly, so any help or advice would be very welcome. Thanks William |

Tater What I was a taught as Boy Scout (a long time ago) a respectful burning was the proper way to disposal of tattered or worn flag. You should try contacting a local Boy Scout Troop or Veteran's group. If you can not get in touch with them, you can burn the flag your self. A simple and respectful ceremony is all that is needed. Yes, the american legion disposes of old flags with the proper ceremony, I dont knwo what it is, But they do it I think 2 times a year at the post I belong to. Just drop it by the local post, even if they dont do it they will make sure it goes to a post that does. Or just leave it setting in a closet somewhere |
