Ive been looking for such an item online. It will be for my AR10T Carbine - I would like it to be as small as possible. The whole thing is right at 35 inches in length. I have a scope mounted on top that I would like to leave permanent.
Any ideas fellas?

Ive got both  Tac Force and a UTG soft side case .... I bought the UTG for my GSG but when I got it home it was too short so I ended up putting my M4 in it and it doesnt offer as much padding a the Tac Force or the option of moving the mag holder around in the second pocket but it works ok .... I much prefer the Tac Force and will be buying another one of them

There are some fabric rectangular guitar cases for an electric guitar that could work pretty good. Another idea is my buddy used to carry his AR around in a golf bag, it worked great.

A good hardigg case get the small one and take the upper and lower apart. They use them at work to store measuring equipment and machine parts when the bosses travel.

I use an Under Armour racquet bag.  Its a perfect fit for two 16 in ARs with VFG (one in each of the three main compartments) . With 2 ARs there is plenty of room in the center compartment for mags, ammo, handgun etc.

I guess I didn't explain well enough. You don't wear the pants when the rifles are in them. It's just cover when they are in the trunk. Look inside just a pair of blue jeans and assorted junk nothing exciting there...

Sounds like a Jedi mind trick - these aren't the droids you're looking for

Sorry, my geekism is showing

Sometimes you can find nicely padded soft guitar cases at pawn shops for a few bucks.
Galati has some decent looking rectangular cases too.
