7.62x39mm ammo become $200 per case! Midway has a sale for $189.99 normally $197.99!! I thought it was still $150 per case...

The last case of 7.62x39 Wolf that I bought was at the beginning of September. The wholesale price that I paid from my distributor was $185.86. Ammo has had four 10% price increases in 2007, and had several 10% increases in 2006. Buy it quick, and buy a lot, 'cuz I'm betting we'll see several more increases in 2008! I just sold my last 2 boxes of 300 WSM yesterday for $26.95, I wondered why he was so happy about that price until I looked it up in the catalog and saw that retail is now over $39/box. I reckon it's time to go thru and reprice my ammo. I doubt that I can restock those 2 boxes for what I sold them for. Durn if it ain't getting hard to make a profit in this biz. (yeah, yeah, I know I did turn a profit 'cuz I paid less than I sold them for; but now I have to plow ALL that profit plus a little more into keeping my stock at the same level....) |
