Anyone know if the leaves around Talluah Falls, Dahlonega are turning yet. I'm going to drive up there from Columbus if they are, I'm going either this weekend or next. Thanks

I'd say wait a bit longer....I'm not all that far from Dahlonega and my trees are only just starting to change their leaf color.

Resident of Dahlonega.

We haven't had much of a leaf season the past 2 or 3 years. I don't know what the outlook is for this fall. Nothing is turning yet.

My guess is poor color this year due to the lack of rain.

I say about 3 weeks before anything happens worth the drive.

Just went to Tulluah this past weeked for the Southern Company Annual picnic.  Good food.  No color in the leaves.  Felt like May instead of October.  I don't know if there will be any good color this year.  Maybe January when the temp dips below 70!

You can use this web cam at Brasstown Bald to see for yourself. I use it to gauge ice conditions at Hogpen Gap. You can see not much leaf activity yet.

You may as well come up to Ellijay for the Apple Festival as it looks like half of GA and a good portion of FL is already here.  This time of year sucks, glad I'm leaving for the weekend to go deer hunting.   Look out Rome, here I come  Leaves have started to change a bit but by no means in large numbers.

We went into town Sunday afternoon for a meal at the River Street Grille. The place was packed with tourists, we had a wait of about fifteen minutes.

Thank God the Apple Festival is only once a year, this little town can barely contain it.

Another week or two, and the leaves will be about right.
