The heat issues stem from the anti-blowback piston being situated right above the trigger. Newer models (basically all of them for the last couple decades at least) have a plastic heat shield. It helps, but yes, it still gets hot. Still, you'll be able to sustain fire for at least several magazines, plenty for whatever you might be carrying, should you decide to do so. Also on the upside: * Completely ambidextrous * If you drop it, it's safe before it leaves your hand * No tilt barrel, so if you get it refit for a threaded, a sound suppressor will not need a recoil booster * It will function without an extractor * You can easily take out the firing pin for storage, if there's any question about security * Most people will have no idea what to do with one, should it be taken from you * It's quite happy with +p+ ammo, of course in moderation. On the downside: * The design makes it about impossible to scale up to larger calibers, without it turning into a hugenormous brick of steel. There were some made in .40, but the .45 was easily as big as a USP Tactical, minus plastic weight savings, and with only 7 rounds. Interesting side info: * A lot of them look sort of purple under the right light. Just the way some batches of the park came out. I love mine, and I'm thinking of getting it set for jogging/walking carry, instead of the current S&W revolver I'm packing. |

If it's in good shape, 650 is a hell of a deal considering I paid 800 for mine several years ago (now it's gone If I could come across another one for a price like this, I would pick it up for a full time carry gun. I won't start the whole caliber debate, but it is an extremely good carry gun. Plus, even if someone WERE to get it away from you, the question mark look on their face would be priceless while they figure out how to use the thing. |

I don't buy into that. I'd never seen one before a few weeks ago. The owner let me shoot it and I got the first shot off instantly without any questions. Course I've always been a gorilla grip shooter. In a high adrenaline situation i think most people would be squeezing the heck out anything they took away from me anyway. I just find it interesting. That price is an advertised price from a national retailer... |

Not to get on an ammo debate but pack extreme shock...9mm x-shock will drop anything...DRT. That stuff is the best frag ammo going and no over pen- issues. Nasty nasty wound channel....It'll make you re-think the whole 9mm debate. The P7 is ok but I think I'd rather carry a P2000SK if you hell bent on an H&K. |
The White guy photoshopped Black always cracks me up...

Step away from the computer Lad, I think Mom wants you to take out the trash before you get ready for school tomorrow. Stupid fucking statements like that are just that-stupid. I'll bet the reason Police Departments and others who know don't make use of the stuff is because "it causes so much damage". "Drop anything, DRT"-that's a gem of a statement....... |
Somebody forgot to shop his hands. That's funny. |
I'm a 32 Year old cop and not a kid. It's not a stupid statement. It's great ammo. The next time you decide to open your cock holster RE-THINK IT. If you have a beef with me send an IM. I'll be more than happy to settle it for you. |
Making a statement like "9mm x-shock will drop anything....DRT" is very stupid-as a cop, you should know that. Making a statement like that when there are so many variables to getting someone DRT is reminiscent of a high school kid who's read too many gun magazines, which is why I made the initial statement. If you've got a problem with that-oh frigging well. I'm 32y/o, a cop and a combat veteran myself, so save the settling for someone who gives a crap. For the record, I don't have a problem with the 9mm myself and don't need any super duper ammo with cheesy advertisements to change any opinions. |
wow, your e-penis is huge. |

| I had the chance to fire one at a local IDPA match a few months ago. I liked it enough to buy one for myself. Trigger, recoil, and overall feel was a big suprise. It shoots much better than it looks. The only down side was mags. I bought two off gunbroker for around 95 shipped in almost new condition. That being said it'll be a safe queen for my son due end of Oct. |
You looking at a P7M8 thats the one I had. And thats why I only got one mag the PSP that it sounds like your looking at is abit diffrent, but much though. Its mags are closer to $35 If its a P7M8 in that ~$600 pricerange, grab it and run |
