What do these charges generally mean? I've signed up for the ScanGwinnett mailer for my zip code and a couple that are close, and see these a lot; 1. hold for other agency - I presume this means they have a warrant out from another jurisdiction. I see folks with Hispanic last names charged with this one a lot. I was wondering if it was most likely Homeland Security/Immigration they were being held for 2. other offense 3. VGCSA-SCHEDULE I and VGCSA-SCHEDULE II 4. DRIVING ON HWY LANED FOR TRAFFIC |

www.ci.lynchburg.va.us/Index.aspx?page=2333 explains it better than GA's site |

Thanks for the answers. There's a few guys on the 14 day docket at GCSO that have been charged with DRIVING ON HWY LANED FOR TRAFFIC. If the City of Lynchburg ordinance is similar to GC, then perhaps they were driving slowly in the fast lanes on a highway. This ought to make LarryG happy. I remember that is one of his pet peeves. 5/23/2007 4:02:38 AM 5/23/2007 MARTINEZ-TOVAR AURELIO 1350 BALDRIDGE DR, LAWRENCEVILLE GA 30044 DRIVING ON HWY LANED FOR TRAFFIC $94 CB Photo 5/23/2007 4:02:38 AM 5/23/2007 MARTINEZ-TOVAR AURELIO 1350 BALDRIDGE DR, LAWRENCEVILLE GA 30044 OPEN CONTAINER WHILE DRIVING $357 CB Photo 5/23/2007 4:02:38 AM 5/23/2007 MARTINEZ-TOVAR AURELIO 1350 BALDRIDGE DR, LAWRENCEVILLE GA 30044 *DUI |
| I have seen these kinds of charges a lot when I go to take out warrants at GCJ. I have not seen that charge in particular, but what my co-workers and I have always thought is that when you see a long list of charges, with the most significant being alcohol related, that the drunken perpetrator got the book thrown at him for being belligerent. |
Yes sir, it would make me delirously happy if they would enforce it vigirously. |
In the Atlanta area they are not allowed to use the two leftmost lanes. Coming down I85 from SC, once they get to where I985 merges in, they are forbidden to do so. It varies coming in from the other directions, but truckers generally (there have been a few assholes lately) are the best about getting back over once they pass someone. |
Myself and my carpool buds were going up 85N the other morning and there was a semi riding in the left lane right next to the HOV lane(HIV lane if you are in midtown), the truck had 3 huge pipes strapped to the trailer. We were waiting for him to get pulled over, but Gwinnett County missed the opportunity![]() |
That brings up a few more points. The lane next to the HIV lane (that's what I call it) should be treated as the fast lane. Also, many times coming through town at 0200 and all lanes a clogged up with vehicles with multiple passengers and not one single car in the HIV lane. I can't legally use the HIV lane to pass them yet they could be over there and be the hell out of everyone else's way. Metro Atlanta is the only metro area that I know of that enforces the fuckin' HIV lane 24 hours a day. Even LIE is only during rush hour. |
Yeah I've noticed a general disregard for what Larry's saying about truck laws too. |
