I have a Yugo M92 Krink that I want to SBR. I have a supressor that is on a trust, and I want to add the Krink to the schedule on the trust.

I was under the impression that I had to have a licensed dealer do the form 1 for me, so today at lunch I went over to Bullseye in Lawrenceville to enlist their assistance. I was told that I did not need a dealer involved at all, I could just fill out the form 1 myself and mail it into the ATF for my stamp.

Can someone in the know verify this for me? I have the money for the stamp, the Krink, the cash for the engraving and work to replace the barrel extension, all I need is a freakin' form 1 and I will have Krink goodness!

By the way, took it to the range this past Saturday, and it shoots like a dream.

go to arms & tactics section, look at general class three forum.

you can get the form 1 from from www.titleii.com or the ATF website.

good luck, my SBR Form 1 came back in around 20 days going the Trust route.

Did you fill it out yourself? No dealer involvement?

And, thanks for the reply.

You are correct in that a dealer is not necessary. you just have to wait til the Form 1 comes back before modifying the weapon to SBR state.

Correct, you do not need a dealer.

And I'm sorry, I forgot AGAIN to help you with this!  I'm home all day tomorrow and can knock this out for you if you want.  For sure I can do it this time.

Okay, please do.  I'll be catching up on NFA related paperwork in the morning anyway.  Very sorry this has slipped (again!).

Dude, for the record, no apology necessary at all. You bend over backwards to help me and just about everyone on this board. I could do this myself, but just feel MUCH more conmfortable having you guide me through it.

No dealer required.  I've done two.  Assign your rifle to your Trust first.  That way there is no way anyone can say you possessed the SBR as an individual.
