Just over a week to get a CCW. They have the digital fingerprinting in the Court House. You just have to walkin and give them $39. No seperate MO for GBI. Everything is done at the same place. Went in Wednesday and had the CCW the next Friday.

Wow - that's fast.  Is that a new CCW or a renewal?

I'm expecting at least 6 weeks in Coweta.

There is no such thing as a renewal anymore. They are all new to make the ATF happy.

Holy shit!

No lie, it took 6 months for my friend there a year ago!

He was no longer working at the place he got it for.

The increase in speed is supposedly because they are now using the digital fingerprinting.

I didn't ask him about that, I just figured they already had that.

Atleast Clayton County had it in 2004 when I got mine.

If you guys are worried about turn around time, I am a Utah Certified Instructor and can get you a Utah non-resident permit which is good here in Georgia. That way while one is renewing the other is valid.

They just got the machine in and started using it the week before I went in.
