I really would love to give my kids a Wii for Christmas but I will not pay some asshole 4 times retail for one. I hate how people that have no kids or no intention of using the system buy several just to make big bucks. I will not play their game. I'll probably have to wait until spring to get one but oh well. If anybody comes across a Wii system and has no need for one, pick it up for me and I'll pay you for it and give you $50 bucks for your troubles when I pick it up. Hell, I'll even let you buy a gun for cost at the hardware store. Mark |

Where did you find somebody wanting 4 times the retail value of the Wii,which is $250? I haven't looked around for one nor am I really interested in one but I imagine with a good bit of looking around it wouldn't be that hard to find one,granted they shipped much more than the PS3s. Those who buy Wiis or PS3s and resell them for double or triple the cost of retail value know that there will those who want one right away and will gladly pay any cost. That's supply and demand for you but I think it's sad that people are willing to pay absurd prices,let alone the retail price of $500 for the BASIC PS3 and $600 for the deluxe package,because the only reason people buy these kinds of consoles at first released is all the hype. I NEVER buy ANY video game console at its release because there are usually a few or no good games,there are usually a few glitches or bugs in the initial shipment(The Wii has had a lot of problems with controllers flying out of peoples' hands because the wrist strap broke or was defective or something),and the consoles will eventually go down in price within year and a half to 2 years. Plus I could be spending more money on better things,like AR stuff!

Give this a try...I picked up a PS3 today from Sam's using the PS3 tracker. Sunday morning is rumored to be the day to look for one, get up early and head to Best Buy, Walmart or something nearby. call local GameStop and ask them when the next shipment of Wiiii is coming in. for example, in my local area, it's Tuesdays when they get the Wiiii batches. Go in the morning, or have someone drop by, and buy the thing before someone else does. Did I mention that it's only $250? |
Same thing down here. I work with someone trying to get one. He went into Circuit City one day and the chick working there says we are getting 5 more in, come back early tomorrow. She must have told the entire town the same story. He shows up an hour before the store opens and there are 50 people standing in line outside of the store. ETA: I'll keep my ear open and see if he comes across some place that has them. |
