Anyone know any local contacts to help/do a Saiga pistol grip conversion for me?

I want to turn my Saiga 308 into a PG version, and improve the trigger.

Thanks.

If you have any mechanical abilities its not hard. Drill a couple rivets out. put new stuff on....I heard the .308s were even easier then the 7.62

If you don't mind a folding stock, you could always go with the ACE add on.

I will be getting a Saiga 12 at some point so I'll be looking at a conversion also (but I want a solid stock conversion.)

I have not converted mine yet.  Been wanting to, just haven't gotten around to it.

This is a pretty good link for you do-it-yourselfers

I have never seen that before.  I would have to see and hold one in person before i bought that.

I agree! Especially because I want to get the 12 gauge.

Be sure to read the fine print.

From http://riflestocks.com/SaigaAK.htm:
Section 922(r) may apply.

I'm pretty sure that once you put the pistol grip on, you have to add in extra US parts. But I'm not an authority on the matter. saiga.com probably has a thread on this.

Personally, I'm saving up for a tromix conversion.

That tromix S17 is badass!  Why did this have to get called to my atention right before x-mas?

Yeah you need some US parts if you go to PG configuration.

Saiga 12's are cool, here's mine:

I was done in a few hours.  Have shortened the bbl to 18.5" now.

I heard that there's a guy at Moss Pawn in Forest Park that does Saiga 12 conversions, but I don't know if he does the rifles.

I'm doing the conversion work on my Saiga 12 myself. I'm a mechanic and have all the tools to do it.
