I live in the north gwinnett area. With all the hokey of full auto being banned at wilson shoals and probably some other DNR ranges, and as hard as it is to get into the cherokee gun club in gainesville (gotta know two members), does anyone know of a outdoor range around here that you can shoot full auto at? |
| If I recall it's 500 or so the first year then 50 bucks every year after, and they require some range community service from everyone.. Also there is about a 2 year waiting list right now, AND you have to get two current members to vouch for you before you can apply.. Needless to say, it'd be nice to know a few people who are members... |
| It's a $750 initiation fee(recently raised from $500) and then each year it is 60$ but you are asked to provide 10 work hours valued at 15$ per hour which you will be assessed if you don't pull any work detail. So really if you don't have time to volunteer at the club it's really 210$ a year. It's a really nice range, they don't complain if you shoot fast(as long as you keep it under control and no Full auto) and they have a bunch of pistol areas to shoot, plus some first class shotgun facilities. I just wish it allowed machine guns and had a longer distance rifle range as I believe the longest range there is something like 220 meters. Also as stated above you have to get on a 2 year or so waiting list as membership is capped at 600 members. |
