Anybody know where I can get a DPMS like multi-tool in Atlanta? I know I can just go and get one online but I need one to put my first AR together and want to show my dad this weekend.  Thanks!

They tell me that Bullseye in Lawrenceville carries a lot of that sort of thing.

A claw hammer should work just fine.

Bullseye usually has 'em on a display table almost as soon as you walk in the front door.  Might call before you make the drive.

I was there yesterday, but didn't notice.  I was distracted by some of the mac-daddy ARs they had on the table.

I tried calling them today but it was busy all afternoon. Kinda weird. I'll try it tomorrow. Thanks guys.

And what's a claw hammer?

I've got a few different brands...all used and not for sale.  However, I am cutting in here to encourage you to get the DPMS tool.  Not a knock off...not another brand.  Or, you will end up owning at least two of these things...

I have not seen any DPMS style multi-tools there. I did see the car-stock castle nut wrench on the table. I went there looking for one a few weeks ago. I ended up ordering it from brownells because they did not have anything besides the car-stock wrench.

Ah, the claw hammer.  My all time favorite gunsmithing tool.

SHK, depending on where you are in Atlanta you can borrow my wrench.  Let me know if I can be of assistance.

That and a hi-tech "screwdriver-punch" are essential field tools for the AR.  It is a good thing the claw hammer was there that day, otherwise we would have probably seen Bookie beating an AR with a ROCK!

Whatever works.

The look on Kyle's face while I was beating on his rifle was priceless.  I thought the boy might cry.  I think I heard Bradd giggle every time I swung the hammer.

Yup, and you kept saying "No, really, I have done this before.  This is how you do it. Trust me."

That sounds familiar.  That's the same thing he was saying as he was knocking my FSB pins out the wrong way.

That's what he was saying when he was fingerbanging my dog, too.

Bookhound, thanks for the generous offer. I live in midtown/downtown Atlanta.

I've been searching the EE for one and they seem to just magically disappear in 2 minutes. In any case, I may have to just order one from DPMS . Thanks guys.

On a sidenote, all of ya'll are bootleg!

You might luck out and find one at the gunshow this weekend.

That's because it wasn't my rifle.
