| I'm going to be aplying for a ccw permit soon but I travel alot and need a permit that would be honored in other states. Will Flordia alow me to get a ccw permit there seeing that it is a boardering state to Ga.? |

Check out www.packing.org Its an excellent source of reciprocity information and where you can carry. What you are looking for is states that honor "non-resident" permits and from which states. I believe FL and NV are good non-resident permit states since their non-resident permits are honoring in many states that GA's isn't. Be sure to get your home state permit and add onto it the non-resident permit. If the SHTF, you'll be able to say in court ... my home state trusts me to issue me a permit. I have a non-resident permit so i can carry in other states. If you are planning to go predominately to one state, it might be good to get that states non-resident permit. Doing all this lessens the hassle you will get from Law enforcement. If you shoot, expect to be treated like a criminal. Let your lawyer do the talking. |

I just noticed you are from Ohio. When are you guys going to get rid of DeeWhine and the other anti-gun turkey senator? And while you are at it, get rid of Taft too. Those barstards are ruining the Republican gene pool. I'm not a lawyer nor am I versed in this but I think you could get the FL non-resident permit and it would be honored in GA. Be careful carrying in GA, we have the most restrictive laws in regards to where you are allowed to carry. They are as nutty as OH's. |

Welcome! Actually, all bordering states with the exception of South Carolina. SC does not recognize GA permits. Well, at least last time I looked into this they didn't. (As stated, concealed is your friend.)  BTW, typing in all caps on the internet is considered YELLING. Just thought I'd pass it on in case you didn't know that. Some of the guys like to really beat up on the guys typing in all caps.
