I've been there on multiple occasions. Decent place considering its free. It's definately out in the middle of nowhere.

I was there about 10 days ago..I've heard it will be closed and a lot of work done on it .change direction of field of fire, new benches, covered, fence put up and locked. It will have someone running it on certain days and for a fee.

It's about 30-45 minutes south of Athens.

I usualy shoot at the range I have behind my home. Bench at 100 yards, 200 yard bench needs to be rebuilt.
I asked this question because someone asked me and I did not know. I had heard Redlands range, was being rebuilt.
If any one wants to shoot at my range they are welcome. The only problem, I usualy shoot after last cutting of hay late August September thru mid April, it is a rented hay field.

Hwy 330 Statham area.

I've been slammed at work lately, but sometime I'd like to hit that BBQ place you were telling me about.
