The third episode in our little saga is scheduled for April 17, 2004 at The Carolina Star (www.carolinastar.com) The match registration will begin at 0830 hrs, with the safety briefing at 0900 hrs and shooting to commence immediately thereafter. The fee for the match will be $20, and will include lunch. The match will consist of three stages, with a minimum round count of about 90; bring AT LEAST 120 rnds of ammunition.....you will probably need it. ![]() The match will be shot as open classification; shoot what you bring. The only restriction being a one gun / one optic rule; back-up iron sights are permitted. The three courses of fire will include an IPSC style speed run, a barricade stage with lateral movement, and a CQB run in our own little SHOOT HOUSE. There will be approximately thirty reactive targets (pins/steel plates) used throughout all three stages. The scoring targets will be IDPA standard, and will require two scored hits. The first stage will be a speed run with bowling pins and IDPA targets. You've got to know when to slow down and when to speed up. The second stage will be the barricade. You will engage reactive targets from the start position, and then advance to the first barricade. From each barricade, you will engage targets from the right and left sides, and then move laterally to the next barricade. The third stage will be a CQB exercise. You will engage targets outside the house and then move through the door and into the house engaging other targets in hallways and rooms as they become available. Plan to do A LOT of shooting; it will be a target rich environment. Please e-mail me at [email protected] if you are planning to attend, so that we have an idea of how many to expect and can plan for lunch. I forgot to add this, but most of you already know the drill. Guns and gear will be available if you need them. You just need to bring the ammo. (New, Commercial Manufacture .223 cal) |

We plan on holding a match every month. I'll be having LASIK surgery on the 19 of March, so we'll be skipping a month. The April match should be AWESOME, if I do say so myself. By the way, so far we've had shooters from Savannah, Charleston, and Spartenburg SC, as well as Richmond, Virginia. ![]() They all said it was worth the trip.

Okay guys, the Lasik Surgery was great. I've got 20/25 vision in my left eye and 20/20 vision in my right eye. The Doc says things should continue to improve over the next month. I should be in top form for the April match. SCOOP, repeat after me....Who's your DADDY. |

Okay guys, we've got about three weeks until the next match. Here's the deal, if I can give our host a good estimate on how many shooters to expect, she'll have a nice lunch prepared. If I can't....we get hot dogs. If you know your coming, drop me an e-mail so I can add you to the list. [email protected] |

I'd love to go and at least watch, but that is a long haul and it would require getting up at oh dark thirty, yucky. I need to start a AR15 Cmas account and put aside a little bit every check to cover these events that I never seem to able to make it to. ByteTheBullet (-: |
