You talking about RAID5? You must have a minimum of three disks for RAID5. Sounds more like RAID1 (mirroring). |

Striped array is RAID 0. It's technically not even RAID, since there is no redundancy. RAID 0 needs a minimum of 2 disks. RAID 1 is mirroring, as Bookhound suggested. RAID 1 requires 2 drives, and wastes space besides being obscenely slow. RAID 5, again as suggested by Bookhound, requires 3 drives minimum. RAID 5 is striping with parity. Both RAID 0 and RAID 1 are commonly used with cheaper IDE drives. Why anyone uses RAID 1 is beyond me. Personally, I like RAID 50. In closing, Bookhound is a moron.
