| Well, I got some range time in with the Sub2000 today. The more I mess with this thing the more I like it. It really is handy and well designed. All functions and controls are very intuitive and ergonomic. It's very pleasant to shoot and recoil is very tame (although the bruise on my shoulder would lead you to believe otherwise). I was shooting at an indoor range so accuracy was not on the docket today. I did have 3 failures to feed. I'm confident I can get that resolved, though. All in all it's a very practical little rifle. Not a bad deal for less than $300. |
Oh, it doesn't hurt mind you. In fact, I didn't notice it until I got home and took my shirt off. It just looks bad because the rifle has a plastic buttplate with nice little sharp checkering. I'm not terribly recoil sensitive. |

I've got an extra mag holder on mine, two 17+2 Glock mags on the rifle, and an M6 laser/light on a picatinney rail under the forend. I shoot 1"-2" MOA with mine. I LOVE that little bastard. How can ya go wrong with an accurate tricked out folding carbine with 38 rounds on hand that shoots 2" groups!!! I can easily hit soda cans off a post at 100 yards standing up. I think the rifle is an OUTSTANDING value for the cash you pay for it! Chaulk me up as a supporter of the Sub2000. Hope you like yours as I do mine! |
Get your Mosin first. Everyone needs a cheap decent-shooting bolt-action commie battle rifle. And you can feed it Wolf all day long and A) it won't care one bit and B) no one will say mean things about you behind your back for doing so. |
Right. That little rifle just made you it's bitch.

I got your bitch, pal...hangin'! |

Cool. The Sub series (9,40 and 2000) are great. Granted, I found out that if one is a "large" person, proper positioning of the rifle is difficult for a few. No prob for me... (I have the old Sub 40.... w/ Glock mags) There is something about haveing a Sub rifle and a big stick mag....29 rounds. And all of it can fit in an everyday lap top case.... |
HAA HAA I am going home, gonna change my brake pads and then go drink $2 drinks and watch the cute girls while my buddy sings. ByteTheBullet (-: |
Ha! Change that one, Beotch!!! See, I quoted it before you could mess with it!! ByteTheBullet (-: |

Thanks Chainsaw! ![]() I just examined mine to see if I had the same wear. It's not that bad, just a very minor MINOR bit. I've put a 1,000 or so downrange. Does that affect the function of your Sub? |
It doesn't affect function and Kel-Tec says it's normal. I just didn't think metal bashing metal could be a good thing. I imagine there's no way to prevent it without a bolt hold open. |
