-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gentlemen, thank you all for coming out today, i have to say that this is the best shoot i've been to. weather was perfect, we all had a blast (tannerite, hehehe) and our group shoots are getting bigger. I think that another one is in order, sometime in early June was discussed. How about May 31? i know memorial day is the 26th, so if we have "familiy weekend" then, we can have "gun weekend" the next! Lets kick that around a little and see what everyone thinks. Thanks again, i had a great time, cant wait to see the pictures. I have photo hosting room if anyone needs it, send me an IM. LWC |
| Guys, this was by far the best shoot we've had (something like 20 people or so). I had a really good time. Thanks to Ryan, Mike, and Mona for getting this thing together. Thanks to everyone that let me play with their toys (I've got to get me one of them 45/70's). For those that couldn't make it...find a way to get to the next one. We had tannerite (can you say BOOM?), steel plates, every type of rifle imaginable, bump firing, and the best group of people you'll ever meet. I'm definitely in for the next one. |

That was just a hoot!! If I'd have known shoots were this fun, I would have been to all of them. Mr. Tanner now has my order for another 20 targers, that'll make about 200+ film cannister targets, I'm in!! I'll try some different ammo next time so I wont be blowin' out eyeballs :) This was the best fun I've had in months. I want to thank everyone for there generosity with their toys and for everyone who helped put this together, I'll be posting a link to the pics as soon as I finish a few cocktails, I'm pretty whooped! The burgers and dogs were great, the weather was terrific, and I learned lots from you seasoned shooters. Sorry I couldnt stick around for the pistoleros, I had to get back to town. | All I can say is WOOD!!!!!!!!!!! I had a blast bumping the ak for 75 rounds. Too bad I missed on the mag dump. I was loading a mag when it was called. I'm lookin forward to havin some new toys out there at the next one. Ryan, Awesome cooking man you are the true range chef. Ryan, Mike, and Mona excelent hosting I'll find a way to make it to the next shoot even if I gotta work that night. |

I had the BEST weekend ever, and it's only Saturday! Thanks to Ryan, Mike and Mona for all your efforts to make this happen. Thanks to Ryan, our "head chef" for the AWESOME food (I'm still burping!). Man, you guys are all great (even Rat Fink, but don't tell him I said so). Great people. Great time. Great fun. I want to party with you guys again SOON. Hey, gilfrd, I'll chip in for some Mr. T next time. Cool stuff. |

Hey guys... I was fixin to clean my stuff up last night and I noticed that I am a mag heavy. I'm thinkin this might be yours Byte since we were set up on the same bench. Check your gear and let me know, I'll mail it to you or get it to you somehow. I'm also missing about 1000 rounds of ammo, could I have possibly tossed that much lead downrange? geez!! I had dreams last night of tannerite explosions dancing through my head. Too much fun! gilfrd |

That was a kick ass time. The drive to Bama was definitely worth it. Ryan you put on a great shoot and are a damn good chef. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into the shoot. It was good to see all the Bama boys again, and good to meet more of the GA gang and Bama folks. See y'all at the next shoot. ARH |

LWC and Alabama Crew, thanks for throwing such an excellent party. arf.com's GA and AL members are first rate people, except for that Byte character of course... Thanks to BeerSlayer and ARH for some valuable pistol shooting advice. I'll be practicing to be ready for that rematch, Mr. Hound! Due to holiday plans, my vote for the next shoot is for after June 15. |

Thanks to all the guys who made the day for my little? Red Headed son. I think that Josh probably had one of the best days he has had in his 15 years. His mouth ran like an "Eight Day Clock" all Sat. night and most of Sunday about his weekend with you guys. Thanks for the generosity which all you guys showed to Josh in letting him shoot so many different weapons. What a day?? Hoping to get to make some of the other meets in the future. I think that Sat. created another AR15 monster in my household. Took me back to the days when some of my buddies would fall out and blast away with the old M1 carbines and M14's. Gotta say, it was great meeting everyone that I did - just trying to remember names and keep them to the right faces, lol. Hadn't had that much fun in a while - figured I put about 500 rounds through my lowly ak (if I did the math wrong - I apologize, might be 100 less). It felt good bump firing. Either way, next time I will have to bring more ammo, and hopefully will have a build done by that time to bring (223 ak???). Thanks Joel for letting me shoot your AR, it makes me want to get one now, dammit hinking.gif !! Also thanks for letting me buy some ammo from you (again reminding myself to bring more next time). THe food was great, what was the secret to those burgers tasting so good?? Thanks to all for helping a newbie feel welcome. Maybe at one of the GA/AL shoots we could bring some stuff to swap, buy, or trade (i.e. mags, receivers...) |
OK, OK, if you guys don't cut me some slack I am gonna pick up my ball and leave. Some of us have lives that don't revolve around shooting....dammit!!! I had to drive to SC Sunday and just got back home. I hope to post the pics tomorrow evening. Gotta run them through the 'slimming filter' for BookHound you know. On a more serious note...THANKS lostwildcat for setting up this shindig!! EXCELLENT JOB!!! The location was great, the food was better, the weather played along, and the company was tops! I met some really great people and saw a few old buddies. I cannot help but think the whole ARFCOM family is a great bunch of folks. I feel privileged to be associated with you guys. Group hug?!?!
