Nice looking pistola Bradd.  How does it shoot compared to the one you had?  Does the extra length and weight make it a little easier to point and handle?  I don't have a 1911, but its on the wish list.  Any info you can give me on what features are nice and what isn't necessary would be great.

See ya, buddy.

Dude, you gotta get one of these!  I've had 3 compacts in recent years, but this full size is really sweet.  It handles very well.  It weighs 4 ounces more than the compact, but seems to balance better.  I never felt like I could get my hand around the compact fast enough.  I took it to the range today to start the break in.  I only had 2 failures to feed and I'm attributing that to a crappy mag.  Both failures were on the last round of the mag.  I'm going to pick up a couple of Wilson mags and see if the problem continues.  The accuracy was outstanding.  These pistols are so easy to shoot.  If you're considering one, I would recommend a Kimber, new 70 series Colt, or Springfield.  I think Kimber is a better gun out of the box, but that is just my opinion.  1911's are generally built to pretty tight tolerances so there is some potential for problems during the break in period, but they typically go away after that.  Sometimes you have to do a little tweaking to get them 100% reliable, but it's usually minimal if necessary at all.  Check out this website for some good info...

Feel free to hit me up with questions.  I'm far from being an expert, but I'm glad to try and help.
