I'm looking to have a couple chainsaw blades sharpened. Anyone know where I can, in around or around Indian Trail?

I tried a couple of lawn mower repair shop. One flat out said no and the other said not this time of year.

I know I could buy a sharpener, but I really don't use my chainsaw too much.

Thanks!

You can take it to Lowe's.  They send it out to a guy who does a good job, not sure how much it is or how long it takes to get back though.

IIRC, there's a James River Equipment (John Deere Dealer, also sell Stihl) near Indian Trail on Monroe Road. I'm sure they could do it, or sell you the tools to do it yourself (all you need is a file, a guide, and a pair of gloves).

I haven't dealt with that branch, but I've had good dealings with the local JRE.

If you have a Dremel tool, there is a chainsaw sharpener that is nice to have.
The machine that the shops use is set for the worse tooth and then the chain is sharpened.

This method will take more off of the tooth than need be and all teeth end up the same size.
Your chain will last much longer DIY.

Buy a Granberg bar mount sharpener and the right size file and DIY. As said above, your chain will last longer.
