I have visited the Biltmore before, but it was several years ago--is it posted or otherwise off-limits for CCW? There's a post from a few years ago about places that charge admission being off-limits--has that changed or is it still in effect?  Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The new law change took away the "no carry in places that charge admission" rule,  so it should be allowed unless they have a "no weapons" sign posted.

Not a lawyer,  just my current understanding. I'm on my phone or else I would post a link, but there have been several threads in here with details on the new changes.

Thanks--I rooted around a little and found that.  The question would then be whether it's posted. It looks like it could be locked in the vehicle if so, but I try to avoid removing it when I could be observed. If I don't learn anything more before traveling I'll probably just not have anything on me when I go there (assuming I hit the Biltmore at all).

Thanks!

I think I saw a no firearms sign on the door to the estate when I was there at Easter. I can't recall though. I have a season pass but rarely go into the house

Has anyone been this year and looked for signs? I'm going next week and was wondering.

ETA: On another forum a member's sister works there and says no signs posted at main entrance.

I'm headed there sometime before Christmas and will scout it out as well.  Been awhile since I have been there.

As stated, yes as long as it's not posted. You may want to read and familiarize yourself with the recent changes in laws at House Bill 937 / S.L. 2013-369 since you're responsible for following them.

Holy crap!  $70.00 a person?  I was wanting to go, but I'm not spending $140.00 to look around a house.

That's for the night time candlight nonsense. I'm pretty sure a daytime pass is only $35.
