Paid for online renewal 4 weeks ago. Today my permit expired and no new card.

My online renewal only took a week or 2. They're probably insanely busy right now, it may take up to 90 days.

It seems like I remember hearing something about being ok if you have proof of renewal payment or something like that. Not sure though. The instructor told us you're better off renewing at least 90 days prior to exp. just to be safe.

Don't carry concealed without a valid permit is my recommendation.

Does anybody have a lead on this? I renewed online 01/08/13 and still haven't heard anything...

I renewed late January and just found this thread the other day. Looks like they are early to mid-January for renewals right now, so they must be busy. You might want to call SLED and make sure they got everything.

Very surprised it's taking this long for you guys. I needed a replacement when I moved into my new home (December) and it was back to me in about a week.

Well, just called SLED. Card was renewed 03/05 and mailed 03/06. 2 months for renewal....
