Received an update from 1_Shot_Stag, who drafted the text of S308 and got it in the Judiciary Committee last year, where it was blocked by Jake Knott(head).

A little after 1:00 PM today Katrina Shealy sent him a text that the bill had been voted out of committee!!!!

Now let's fire up the emails and phone calls to get this pushed through!!!

10 o'clock news on fox will run the story also

Edit: just saw story. Had owner of Chiefs Wings and Firewater on and he said that even if the bill passes, he won't allow legal CWP holders to carry in his restaurant. He said we are too dangerous and a danger to the other customers.

I know one place I will NEVER step foot in again.

Never eaten there before, but I'll be sure to avoid it and advise my friends to do likewise.

Sounds like the type of restaurant that over-serves for fun and profit.  He don't want responsible people in there tying up paying seats.

The NRAILA link above says this passed out of committee unanimously; but I need to know if that means every single senator on the committee voted yay, or if it was only one or two nay votes.  Specifically, i want to know how John L Scott voted. How can I find that?

How do I access my legislators voting records?

Roll Call Vote History is available for the Senate and House of Representatives commencing in Session 119 (2011-2012). Prior to Session 119, roll call votes must be searched in the Senate and House of Representatives Journals.

Several areas on the website provide access to retrieve votes cast by an individual member, to a complete list of all votes recorded in the each chamber, and to recorded votes on individual bills. The vote history results offer the ability to sort the data and link to a printer-friendly version of the roll call vote.

Good luck.

Thanks for the help; i had already tried those methods but came up short.  I figured since the bill was only in committee, the votes werent tabulated and published.  I'm going to write back to the committee members again and ask for a vote tally.  If I get one, I will post the results here.
