| My folks just moved to a town just outside of Charleston on the way to Kiahwa (sp?). My dad is psyched that the rules for SC are completely different from NY. Where should he go to purchase his first handgun? Does all he need is a valid state drivers liscence? Thanks. |

My dad is psyched that the rules for SC are completely different from NY. Thanks. Yep. No registration of any kind for any firearm (Class II excepted). He can carry a loaded handgun in his console or glovebox. SC is shall-issue for concealed weapon permits. Castle doctrine protects him if he needs to defend himself in his home. A whole lot different from NY. |
