I've been looking at buying a spyderco endure for an EDC knife.
Right know I"m bit confused on whether or not it will be legal to do
so. I've gone and searched the local, county, state, and federal laws
on it. So for, I can't see anything that says it will be illegal. The
only thing I see is that it would be illegal to carry it onto school
grounds because it has a blade over two inches. Any help is appreciated.

Did deeper.  I know that the 2" rule has been abolished as of last year or the year before.  Don't have time to dig now, on the way to a meeting.  If your Spyderco is an auto opener, it is illegal to carry unless you are LEO, fire, emergency, military, etc..  But, usually that's one of those laws that they use if they want to pin you with something. Especially if you are carrying a high end auto and not one of the stiletto italian looking blades.

I think I found it. Good to know too, but I can't believe the governor vetoed it. Still, he was overridden by a wide margin. Glade I live in SC.

I know that is federal law concerning sale and interstate transfer. ie buying from an out of state dealer and having it shipped to you.

I have always been curious about SC laws concerning possession and carrying of automatic knives. Also same thing about ASP or batons.

An assisted opener is faster anyway.
