Right around that same time, my boss called and let me know that the plant would be closed tomorrow. I was like "You gotta be kidding me. It just DID start coming down!" It never ceases to amaze me how people down here freak out over such a miniscule amount of the white stuff.

My wife is from Maine and teaches school in Lexington, NC. She laughs at what they will either cancel classes or delay them over. Ofcourse, today, she is begging them to cancel completely so she can get a day off. I have to work regardless.

Total buzzkill. Nothing here in Raleigh. I was all excited and anticipating the mayhem.

I had about 4 inches on the car this morning and then it turned to rain and freezing rain. I expect the roads tomorrow morning here in the Asheville area will be brutal. We're supposed to get really cold weather - low teens - and more snow on Saturday.

It's back at it here in Kannapolis. Still above freezing for now and not sticking, but will likely start to soon. Nothing pic-worthy.

It was snowing at the gun show in Raliegh, which turned to rain on the way home. There is ice building on the deck outside my back door now.

The roads are already dry here. Thank god for the bread and milk, or I wouldnt have survived that 10 hours of snowfall while watching FX all night.
