I may have an opportunity to re locate to the High Point Triad region What towns would you look at via google for decent schools etc Need a house and a little room-not a huge fan of cozy developments Water would be nice Within 20-30 miles of High Point Help!! |

Depends on which end of High Point you need. North End - Kernersville is growing and is in Forsthy Co. I would rather live in Davidson Co. which is good for North or West side of High Point. South End - Randoff Co is cheap. Archdale or Thomasville would be decent. Please do not let any person talk you in to South or Southeat High Point, those are not the best of neighorhoods. Jamestown is very nice for East side of High Point. |
Whatever you do, stay out of Guilford Co. The schools suck. My wife and sister-in-law both work for the school system and they will tell you the same thing. Can't wait till Terry Grier goes to San Diego. I live here and spend $660 a month to send mine to private school. Davidson Co, Randolph, and Forsyth are all pretty good. Actually most of the state is good if you avoid the more urban areas. If you end up moving, we don't usually take to Yankees, but we need all gun loving Yankee's we can get. Welcome.... |
Yep. Private school for my daughter too. We live in the extreme NE of Guilford and the schools suck there as well. I'd recommend Kernersville, although you may have trouble finding a secluded home site. Oh, wait. You're a Msshole??? Welcome, my brother (born in Springfield  , relocated below the Mason-Dixon before the yankeeness "took", by grace of God).

Well now its getting too weird-Dad class of '59 and all brothers & sisters grew up in Ludlow, still have relatives and cousins all over town We will see what happens Thanks!!! |
