I finally got to go home this past weekend. I've been in DC since Sept, 1 and needed a break from the city.

So, Saturday afternoon I loaded up my truck with my toys (DPMS AR-15, Sistema M1911, Two Remington 870s, Ruger 10/22, and a Smith and Wesson Model 58 - 41Mag) and spent a few hours at the range with my girlfriend.

I also brought my newest toy, a Nikon D80 DSLR camera. I mounted it on a tripod, set it on continuous and began shooting. I hope you all enjoy some pictures I snapped!

Gotta love that last picture.

And I know, my girlfriend is tiny, she's 4'11" and 90lbs. Hence why that 20" AR-15 looks like a 40" haha. You should see her with my 870!

Alright, hope you all enjoyed!

Oh, and I've already been yelled at for holding my AR at the mag instead of under the barrel. I'm usually better about it, but got careless I guess, who knows.

No, this is Moss Knob in Cullowhee. I had a blast. Too bad I have to wait another couple of weeks before I can go again, oh well.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean here. Can you explain please?

Hearing and eye protection.  Ear plugs and shooting glasses.

Though we might not be able to see the ear plugs behind your hair.

God bless!

Thanks!

I am wearing hearing protection behind the hair, and I took off the glasses for the pics.

Oh, and I've already been yelled at for holding my AR at the mag instead of under the barrel.
Why? A lot of people do that.

Haha, she and I constantly have problems with that.

We're only nine months apart in age. It's really funny when people think she's my sister. Although, she was very happy a gentleman at the range asked her if she was in college also.

Nice pics, looks like she handles that .45 well! The last time my wife shot with me, we were putting some rounds through a Barrett M82CQ .50 caliber. She refused to shoot it, but after much peer pressure, she finally relented and shot it once.....I think it dazed her for the rest of the day! Anyways, looks like you had a very  nice day to shoot.

Nice flame-ball coming from your 1911!
My wife of 26 years just recently took up shooting. She comes to the range with me now and we have a blast. She likes my Sig P226 but won't shoot a long gun of any kind. Oh, well... at least she likes to shoot now.

I'm hoping to get a more accurate target rifle (debating between a Rem 700 or a Varminter Upper of sorts), and I'm hoping once I do that she'll enjoy shooting more. She did like the 1911 even if she wouldn't admit it, haha.

If you think she handles that well, you should see her with my Rem 870! It's darn near as big as her and she controls it, it's amazing!

Nice pictures.  I'm surprised no one mentioned the fact the the g/f has her support thumb draped over primary thumb.  Good way to get some rail bite.
