I have the opportunity to purchase a boat, trailer and motor from another person.....can someone help with some questions.... 1) Tags for trailer......do I transfer the existing plate to my name or apply for a new tag (I am assuming DMV.......does the trailer have a registration like a vehicle and should i include it in the bill of sale. What about taxes? 2) The boat....what do I do to have it in my name....what about the wildlife numbers......transfer, etc... 3) Insurance....do I insure the boat and trailer or what? | head to your local marina/boat shop, they will hook you up with all the paperwork.... everthing is real simple and you should be able to handle it all there.... insurance on a nice boat..... i could be wrong, but i dont think NC requires insurance on boats.... my boat isnt insured, but i got a lil 15' fiberglass flatbottom with a johnson 45 on the back.... not real expensive.... |
