well Mebane (between Chapel Hill and Burlington) guy here and I'm pretty much a newbie to AK's and I'd to get a build under my belt, not only so i know whats in my rifle and that its relaible, but i'm a gun nut and would love to learn how to do it, looking for somebody locally who woudln't mind coaching me through a build, I know a local gunsmith who is fast becoming a buddy of mine after talking with him for awhile and buying guns through him, but he's never built an AK, but he said he is willing to try, I mean hey if the rooskies can do it why can't we? is it difficult to build one having never done it before? just a little work or what? thanx, Sly |
| I spoke to my local smith about me buying AK parts, and having him assemble them. He said it would be cheaper to just buy an AK from one of the better companies because it's very difficult to assemble the kits like that, and a big pain in the ass. I bought my AK from Vector arms. They have some high quality stuff. |
