If anyone goes to the show this weekend, I'm planning on helping at a table. I'll have my tan BFL hat on as usual. I won't know exactly where I'll be until I get there.
It's always fun to meet you guys, so wave as you pass. http://rjpromotions.com/event/independence-gun-knife-show/ |

I'm not sure if it covers both days or not. It's run by the same group that did a show in St. Joseph (last week?). This is the first time for me with this group.
But I don't see anything on the events center website that indicates that they have multi-day tickets. You can get a dollar off by signing up for a newsletter. http://silversteineyecentersarena.com/events/calendar/details/?event_id=131 |

You missed nothing. There were a couple decent M1s at pretty fair prices. Way too much flea market stuff. Not many gun vendors at all. Very small venue.
I went to the last one also. Metcalf promoter. This was no better. I don't like to miss a gun show, cause you never know. But I don't know about going back to another one there. |

First day, there were a lot of people and as many guns (if not more) than the last RK show i helped at. Seemed like a lot of hunting rifles. Not near as much of the extra stuff like siding, but some. I don't think there was any prepper/survival tables. A couple of fishing tables. I almost bought some Unique powder for $23, but I didn't need any. There was not much for hand loaders. There was a table with a bunch of Mousers, and some black powder guns. I suppose it depends on what you are looking for. One of our HTF guys stopped by yesterday (which I appreciated) to say hi, but he was disappointed that there wasn't more WWII Era stuff. The guy running the show keeps on wanting to get feedback, so I think if people want specific stuff, they need to ask the promoter for it. Maybe he can do some of the legwork to get some more vendors talked into coming. I don't know anyone except my friend I help, so I don't have anyone to ask. I know he brought hunting rifles because we're getting close to hunting season. He brought a very nice Lugar (artillery?) in today because some asked to see it, and a 10/22 that someone wanted.
One of the vendors with 10 tables left after yesterday, so that put a dent in what there was out there. |
