Pic was taken from my kitchen window this evening. I saw more deer this season than I ever have before, but this one wasn't one of them. I never had a clear shot at a shooter buck this past season and now they're grazing in the back yard. Pretty sure I heard them snickering at me even through the closed window.

I've heard deer laughing when I get out of the car to hunt, but they've never followed me home to taunt me.  LOL! Just this past season, I drove about 50 min to my FIL's place to hunt where he "always sees deer".... Saw nothing. WHILE I was out there, my wife texts me (a pic) that there's an 8pt'r crossing our driveway in front of our house....

Thats been my past seasons. This year I hit the stand and maybe 5 min later shot a nice 8 and a doe in Laclede Co and that was it. Deer season over.
At least you can look for his sheds. Its not a total bust and you may be able to scout him for next year. eta... antler trap. Never seen anything like that. Pretty cool |
