Hey Everyone,

I appear to have lost my CCW Instructor lesson plan printout as well as electronic copy during a reformat.  Looking to see if anyone can send me a copy of the instructor basic lesson plan (like the one Chad gives out in the class) so I can have another copy.  Also considering applying for Jackson County Instructor, anything different they require?  Right now just certified to instruct through Clay.

Thanks

Jon

When did you apply to Clay County? You can submit a notarized copy of a lesson outline and $10 and be placed on the statewide system, then you won't need to send anything to Jackson. It's my lesson plan that Chad has been giving out, if you need a outline I can email you one.

You know... Platte didn't ask that I have anything notarized when I turned in all my papers last month to get on the list. Didn't say anything about it either. I got a fancy "accepted and approved" letter from them about a week or two later even. They were very easy and friendly to deal with.

Jon you live in Clay co correct? If so you just need to visit them with all your paperwork. Lesson plan, instructor card, DL, ect. They will copy everything and charge you $10, but eventually add you to the MO list. Sgt Sapp is the one running the CCW show over in Clay Co. He was was helpful to me in the past.

I currently have Clay Co all squared away.  Put in for it about a year and a half ago with no issue.  Just looking to add Jackson now, good to know about the state registry.  Who do I submit the notarized copy of the lesson plan to, and what do I get notarized on it?

Tommy, if you can get me that lesson plan copy it would be greatly appreciated.  It can be emailed to [email protected].  Thank you!

So am I getting it right then that I can stop by Clay County and have them add me to the statewide list?  Then when I have a student complete training through me in any county in MO, I just send them with the same certificates/mo form?

Thanks again guys!

The law states that you have to submit a notarized copy of a lesson plan to the County Sheriff, I talked to Sgt Sapp at Clay County and he said to bring in the notarized copy of an outline, a copy of your NRA cert, copy of the expiration card and a recent photo along with $10. They will then approve you and put you in the database for the state, then if a student is from a different county you just give them the same paperwork and they should be good. I just took my outline to the bank and had them notarize my signature and that was it.

So if I am teaching a CCW course and I have an out of county student, I provide the STUDENT with those materials? (Notarized outline, nra certs, etc?)

Ok, as far as having your signature notarized, did you just sign at the bottom of the lesson plan and have that notarized? Or where did you have your signature notarized on?  When I originally spoke with Sapp and sent my information in for Clay, he had me email a copy of my lesson plan, NRA credentials, photo ID, and a county basic info form.  Just trying to figure out which to have notarized.

Got the email with lesson plan and will get all my stuff together for county today! Thanks again guys!

I just signed the last page and had it notarized.  I don't believe that the statute specifies a location.
