If they were do put one together, who is in, who is interested, and what would you like to see? also what dates work good?
as for me: -sometime after the first half of may -draw from conceal -moving -reloads -malfunctions -close range defend/draw -confined quarters enviroment |

I'd do it. A Friday would work for me or a Saturday. ETA- could there be a night component to this? probably won't be good idea on the night section. after the carbine course a year or so ago a lot of us were dead after the day part and said f it to the night since we wouldn't get the full usage out of it. that is why i suggest the night class on a different day/night |

Maybe AFSOC could just give us some insight on deploying a light/weapon mounted light as part of our EDC. |

Ya I was going to say something about the cave but I figured the only way to get enough ppl to attend a carbine night class was to mix it between the 2 classes. Also I would think a lot of the drills would be the same. I don't know how fond I am of shooting carbines inside the cave though. I know others have done it but still.... |

How does one of the first two Saturdays in June work for everyone? Location is Cass county MO, about 20 min outside of H'ville.
That would be the 1st or the 8th. Far enough out to hopefully round up some ammo and schedule around; soon enough to avoid the heat. I'm in, we need 9 more. |

I broke a trigger spring at the Noveske 3-gun match last weekend.......trigger wouldn't reset unless under recoil of a shot fired. Evidently springs can wear out after several thousand rounds!
I agree with ya...was just being a smartass. I may have reloaded with Winchester cases, but I won't buy Winchester white box anything. |

so as of now (depending on date and time) we have 8, is that right? i am going to see if i can get a google calendar of something setup so ppl can mark bad dates. I have at least 2 additional who are NOT ARFCOM... for this class and June 1 won't work for them Anniversary. Second Weekend in June? |

What is the round count estimate for this class? Also, any other equipment that would be needed thats out of the ordinary? Depends on the participants. Bring at least 500 rounds. but likely not more than 800. We are concentrating on getting good hits not high scores. Saturation fire won't do. Lots of Draw and fire 1 or 2 or give me 2-3 in the Critical zone of the target from X position. Give me 2 or 3 in the critical zone while moving to cover position A... Might have to push to the third weekend if that is good for everyone for Bass. |

What are the chances of getting something like this going over toward the St. Louis side of the state? That would be easier for me, and the June dates are no good due to Summer camp all month. July is not much better. I've wondered if AFSOC and crew would be willing to travel. I can accommodate at least a couple weekend guests if it comes down to food and housing. Union, Washington, St. Clair area. Is this worth discussing? ETA: Revisiting the basics from this thread perhaps? |

As I have stated time and again if you can secure a suitable range facility, Private or at least OPEN so that we can do what we need to do. Preferably Private not public or club. Too many rules that I can't live with. I know A couple folks on that side have offered a range suitable to this class. and YES I will do one on each side of the state as long as there are at least 10 people in the class. If I have to travel and take time off work and rent a hotel room the cost will increase a bit. |

My guess is if they don't have to travel to KC for a one or two day class, there are plenty of folks eager to get on board. The old STL training thread indicated well over 10 people with interest. I'm sure there are at least 2 or 3 private range options that were discussed among the members too. Every time the subject of training comes up I try to give a nudge toward GCI. Maybe the hook will set solidly if there is specific talk of an east side class. |

I can swing the cost of both classes (even if I have to double-time a few holsters to sell in a gun store) but I can't travel across the state. |
