| I need an engraver in the Springfield area. My BIL is shipping off to San Diego. I wanna get his Sig 229 engraved with his name and the USMC logo. Any recomendations? |

Laser engraving burns into the finish, so it can not be removed. The only way for it to go away, is if the rest of the finish is also removed. For what the OP is wanting, there are no ATF specs. He would be fine with an engraver that doesn't go as deep. ATF only has specs for specific info such as SN, manuf, etc. etc. |
| Ill call a trophy shop here in Bentonville and see if they laser engrave firearms. Its an hour and a half drive but if he does it, I wouldnt mind doing the leg work, if you shipped me the part and I could drop it off to him. I have a lower that will need to be engraved. If he does it I will post pics. |
