Dear Sen. Roy Blunt, Sen. Claire McCaskill, and Rep. William Clay:

I oppose Common Sense Legislation to End Gun Violence because we already have laws against murder on the books in every state of the Union. If those who were charged with murder were not allowed to plea to a lesser offense there would be a drop in the number of criminals on the streets with illegal guns.

Using a tragedy such as Sandy Hook as a basis for enacting additional gun restrictions cheapens life. What about the BROWN folks who die at the hands of our drones who have done nothing to provoke our wrath besides living at certain coordinates? What about the BROWN lifes lost because we support the corrupt regimes that are 'friendly' to US interests? If this was truely 'for the children' then those lives would hold greater import, no?

If we want to stop spree killers before they kill, ensure proper funding to mental health initiatives that were defunded or cancelled in the 1980's. More info on that can be found here: http://www.sociolog...003.004/thomas.html

Also, an AWB without allowing currently legal firearms to stay that way violates Article 1 Section 9 of the Constitution. Ex post facto is NOT LEGAL.
