I don't see what the big deal is really.
Guy's girlfriend/SO is a transgender person, he posted a delightful anecdote about a TSA screener getting a handful. The only thing that made this thread 'epic' is the uneducated, closed mindedness of the average GD poster. I have many friends in the LGBTQ community and have taught many of them to shoot, and open a group of people who are typically very liberal and anti-gun up to the idea that guns are not evil, can be fun, and actually do a lot of help with their anti-violence agenda. The hatred and violence that members of the LGBTQ community see is akin to what the African American populace saw not to many year ago. |

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, I would like to live in the world that you see. Per capita the numbers may surprise you when you factor in the projections that adjust for the under reporting not only by the victims, but from LE agencies. |

I'll go one further.... my ancestors were enslaved by the Romans. Not only did they use the native population as slaves in the occupied area of Britannia they took many more back as bounty to Rome. While we do not know exactly how many people were captured and taken back to Rome after the invasion of Britannia, we do know that Julius Cesar took 1 million slaves to Rome from Gaul alone. To keep this in perspective roughly 600,000 slaves were brought to what is now the United States from Africa starting in 1619, they were freed in 1863. Literally millions were taken from Europe by the Romans to become slaves and human fodder in the Coliseum. Their children and children's children and so on were kept in slavery for at least a thousand years. And yes, homosexuality was just A OK in Rome so I'm sure many straight people were forced into gayness....

There's a reason why the people who make these claims tend to be generally young and almost universally white. I had a very old, very liberal, black professor in college who almost had an anyurism when a little hippy chick tried to make this argument. The ensuing rant in which he described what he, his parents, and his grandparents personally experienced in life left me speechless. |
