The KC and STL areas seem to be the most active in setting up shoots and meet and greets, lets do something in Springfield more often for a change, you guys agree? Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
This has been talked about and tried. Doesnt happen.. Would be in if we could actually get somthing down though. Problem is, nobody around here has land to shoot on. Nobody wants to hang unless they are blowin shit up. Last time we tried I wound up having dinner with Reaper..

God man, I'm sorry you had to endure that!!! You know one of these days I'm going to have to explain to Reaper what "A.T.M." is really short for! ![]()
It might make his head explode if you do
but seriously, lets try and meet at one of the ranges or at least have a meet and greet and someones place if theyre willing to offer it as a meeting place, i feel like i hardly know any of the springfield people |

I agree. The other option is to car pool and crash a KC or STL event. ![]() What about me? I'm caught between KC, STL, COMO/JC, and Hannibal Head south east to Farmington I would be down for this too. One shoot at a time, please. I'd be down for October though

If you all wanted to wait till end of September begining October, I'll be home and can host a shoot. Bit of a drive out to Theodosia though. Might be worth it? google maps says it's about 1 hour and 40 min, so an hour and 15 min if I drive, which i think is prefect anyone else agree this is a great option.
BTW: Thank you very much for offering Drobs, what's your land like, if you don't mind describing it for us? |

I still have to get a date down in stone. I have 10 acres and shoot just out back of my house into the base of a hill. Shots have to stay low so no hip shooting- uncontrolled bump fire. Bump stocks and FA is fine if anyone has them. Pic of the "range" http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6208/6109577563_241f79d9c9_b.jpg I'm just west of Theodosia off hwy160. looks like a pretty good spot for gettting somthing started, maybe a yearly shoot just for us SW MO guys, who's weekends are open in the next two months, DROBS what is a good weekend for you in the forseeable future? |

I have land 5 min E of Springfield and would be up for a shoot. I'm posting from my phone so I didn't read the entire thread but I will when I get home Sunday. Grove let us know more when you can, but that sounds like a good option Grove, if you can host go for it. I'm looking at $2200 in airfaire ($1k is reimbursed) to get home so might push this R&R out. Haven't decided yet. Trying to get some interviews set up before I lock in a vacation. Money is ok here but I'd rather be home. |

Too bad you all aren't talking about November....I should have my tax stamp on my M16 by then!! you make it sould like we're only gonna do one of these this is only the beginning of many things to come for the springfield area i'm sure, we just need to get the ball rollin on something and ik the rest will follow

I work on the promotion of the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) event at JQH Arena that is Sept 14,15,16. With that coming up I'm really busy the next few weeks but anything in late September or anything October works for me.
I have 10 acres at my house which is 5 min E of Battlefield and 65 or 37 acres out E Sunshine. The 10 acres I have a bottom where we can shoot into a hillside but the max length is maybe 70 yards. FA is fine but 50's would be an issue because I have a few neighbors that are close enough that 50 would be obnoxious. The 37 acres has a 250+yd spot but I need to get a backstop built before anything wild is done. I'll have to see if my friend is willing to bring his track loader over for a discounted rate, unless of course anyone on here is in the excavation business.... Grove |
