Anyone know of any private ranges near SMO?  I’ve heard of a range out near Pleasant Hope that has a 200 yard lane.
I’m a member at Sound of Freedom already, just looking for a place to shoot longer than 100 yards and maybe shoot some steel targets.

Thank you,

Little bit of a drive for you but check out Ridge Runner Arms Range in Clarkridge Arkansas.
http://www.ridgerunnerarms.com/shooting-range/

Take 160 east past Gainesville and turn south on Hgwy J. J turns into Hgwy 201 in Arkansas Range is just into Arkansas.
They have steel gongs out to 700yds and rent full auto –– so rapid fire EBR's are encouraged.

I'm overseas right now but should be home for vacation in August or September if you wanted to drive out to Theodosia, I could drive the rest of the way.
Range is good place to put some legs on whatever you are shooting.

I was ringing steel at 700yds with the iron sights on my M1A.

You might also look at MO DNR public use ranges.

Houston, Missouri is about a 100 miles away and has long range targets I think they do 1000 yard shots.

Thank you for the information everyone.  I think I'll try Houston first as it's closer.  Just googleing around I found a range in Houston named Big Piney Sportsmen's club and another named Midwest Benchrest.
Has anyone tried either of these ranges?

Thank you,

Big Piney has the long range.  I'm betting the benchrest range is at the same location, this is the first time I've heard of it, but I know about some "Vintage" rimfire benchrest matches shot at Big Piney.

Last I knew big piney was only 800 yards not 1k like earlier posted. It's been a while since I've been there probably a year at least
