AAC M4-2000 6.8.
I don't have a 6.8............ Yet. ETA - So I called about it last week and the receptionist told me to call Bowers directly and inquire as to whether it was lost. I finally get ahold of him today and he says "I don't see a problem it was approved May 24". I appoligized for wasting his time and he had a little laugh and said "No problem". 
Mailed mid October, pending October 27, approved May 24. 
I need to get something in process again now. ETA 2 - Apparently the NFA branch will be getting 12 temporary employees and 5 new permanent employees soon if things go well. Call your rep and tell them to hound the ATF, even though Blunt and Sam Graves must be too busy to respond to my letter..... Pricks. |
Just checked my pending date for the Ti-Rant 45. 
12/20/11 another month? 
Edit: Called the Research assistant. my trouble letter Form 1 for the Draco is approved 5/25/11. Also, he "cleared" my Ti-Rant on 5/18 and sent it on to Bowers at that time. Interesting glimpse into the process, eh?

Took it to the range today. Had a little wiggle when mounted that caused some accuracy issues.
Took it home and used a needle file to take some material off of the two teeth that were probably .005 from engaging and now it locks up rock tight. I will try to hit the range tomorrow and see how it does. I will say that the YHM QD system is superior in a few ways, but the cans just aren't as nice.... The 11.5" barrel with the 51T Blackout Brake is absolutely terrible unsuppressed!

ETA - I don't think it will be going on the 8.25....... After trying out the brake mount on my 308 without the suppressor, I will not be trying it again. Those brakes are way too loud. I need to keep the suppressor mounted on it all the time to remind me in case I forget. |

On a bright note.....there was a note from Jason Bowers attached to my approved form. It said that he though it was hilarious that I wanted him to hold your forms back another 3 months, and that it wouldn't be a problem to do that. You mad? |

So what you're saying is that folks at the indoor range will not enjoy being near me if I go with the AAC 51T?

I keep holding out hope that the new examiners they hired will start improving transfer times. I guy has to hold out some hope.
I know, I know, it is the Gov....how can we hope for improvements???
