You lost me at copy.

May have found a few blemished, factory direct at $1500.00 each. Not a great deal, not a bad deal. Have one gas gun with two uppers. Scar is supposed to be a woo hoo !! I guess ?? or is it ??

I thought you might be buying the Scar from the deal breaker thread but I think it was a 17.

In all seriousness I'd probably go for it. It ain't gonna get any cheaper in the next year. I hear they're nice.

What does it do for you that an AR15 can not?

Well that's really the jist of my post. What will it do for me my one AR with two uppers won't do ?? It's piston driven is it not ?? Supposedly more dependable ??

Pick up more range chicks, maybe ??

HA!

if I had the money I would get it, but it won't do anything a good AR can't. you could SBR and Suppress for about $1500. that's what I would be doing!!!

For $1500.....I'd say do it. At $2400-2600, I'd do it when I won the lottery.

I want one....just not bad enough to spend over $2k.

The "what does it do that an AR doesn't" question is less relative to a Scar 16, XCR,...it becomes more of a want than a need. Head to the LaRue forum and start asking what an OBR does that a regular AR does....if you live, come back and tell me what you learned. I have TWO .308 ARs that shoot .588-.6" at 100yd with match ammo......part of me still wants to sell them to fund an OBR that isn't guaranteed to shoot as good as either......still want the OBR tho.

Which IMO is an absolutely acceptable reason. Just be honest about it and don't try to delude yourself into thinking you're buying something "better".

They are a great little rifle.  Very light weight and easy to shoot.  My wife has one and it is the perfect gun for her due to the weight and balance.

They are not cheap but that can be said of many top end guns that we all love to shoot.  That is a great price on a SCAR 16S.

Down Kujoe

Sit Kujoe

Good Kujoe...... Now behave.

While I agree. LaRue is top notch. I can't imagine a stable full of Colt pistols anymore than I can having a safe full of LaRue rifles.

Variety is what keeps things interesting.

Just got a new Colt stripped upper for an ER Shaw, 18", 8 twist barrel. Plan on swapping factory Colt BCG back and forth between two Colt uppers. Bought a cheap DPMS free float tube over Shaw barrel.

We talked earlier this year of cparing groups between LaRue and other makes of "inferior" rifles. Your welcome to pick your Saturday in July for Bucksnort, LaRue shoot off.

This being the Sho-Me State am sure you'd be up for event.

Oh, I was giving him s$it about going into the forum and getting bit.  We have worked hard to calm things down a bit over there.

Regarding your offer, yes, we need to shoot.  I love to shoot.  And yes, variety is the spice of life.

Woof.

My OBR prints .294" groups with Black Hills 69gr ammo, .748" groups with PRVI 69gr "match"......and I shoot it in 3-gun.   I STILL want ANOTHER one tho......do I NEED another one?     Possibly not........but who the hell said anything about NEED?
