| I used to drive out to the factory and buy these all the time. Do they still sell them? Is it worth driving out to stock up again? |
|
I shoot nothing but factory seconds from there. Pistol rounds are rare but sometimes available. Most bullets are just as good as first's, however, there are some exceptions. I wouldn't buy any of the polymer tipped projectiles. Tips may be in backwards, deformed, or even completely missing.
Generally, the price comes out to a little over half price when I've bought them. |
| This is all I use in my guns, I will say this: the number of projectiles is significantly more than what their sheet says. They sell by the pound but the woman behind the counter never weighs the pound you are receiving. Case in point, bought 2 pounds of .224 FMJ one time. Should have been about 260 or so projectiles. I counted every one I got from there and ended up with 310... |
