I'm making a trip out to Kansas City, Mo tomorrow and was wanting some suggestions for some gun shop sight seeing. I'd like to find someplace that
also sells reloading supplies. Looking for some Accurate 2200 and some PowerPistol, maybe some bullets but who knows when a certain weapon just jumps out at you screaming BUY ME!! |

Thanks, I've wanted to try some bullets from Mo. Bullets. I don't know if you can just drop in and their website has a 3 week wait for shipping so...
Anyone in KC or Lees Summit area got any suggestions? Surely there's a reloading/gunshop in the metro area (Sorry - not trying to single you out Shirley) |

Anyone in KC or Lees Summit area got any suggestions? Surely there's a reloading/gunshop in the metro area (Sorry - not trying to single you out Shirley) Rogers Sporting Goods is one of my favorite places to go shopping. Case prices on shotgun ammo borderline a on untouchable......they definitely blow Walmart away on bulk Federal 7.5's (1200fps,....) Great Guns is right next door. Bald guy there isn't exactly friendly all the time, but isn't horrible. The woman there owns the place and is always extremely nice to me when I look to buy bulk ammo or am interested in a gun there. Show Me Shooters in Claycomo usually has a decent selection or pistols and sometimes has some harder to find .22 rifles. Don't expect expert advice, but the guys there are nice. USGuns on N.Oak has always been really nice to me and seems to always carry a nice selection of ARs, a Galil or two, tons of pistols, an ok shotgun selection, and they have started carrying silencers if I remember right. Ammo prices on Rifle ammo was decent last time I was there. Guns Unlimited on N. Oak is hard to stomach. Have heard the owner drop the N word after a black man walked out the door that he had been sweet talking a black gentleman when he thought he was a sale. If you ask for reloading advice and ever mention loading volume, expect to be scolded about loading for accuracy and not volume. Snapshots in North KC was kinda empty last time I was in there and the guys up front can be kinda crass. I still recommend going in, and ask for Bill. Bill's personality is better with people and he typically has better info. Remember he is someone who shoots 260 Remington with a Premier scope....so expect "best" to mean "best". Did I mention I want one of his premier scopes?
South and East of KC in Independence you can find CR Sales near 23rd street near 291. Ask for Charlie, he is awesome to deal with and I highly recommend visiting him. If you are looking for NFA and don't mind driving to KC area to pick it up, you may want to PM Sub-MG.....our top crack...uh, NFA dealer. Since you are in KC....BBQ! If you go near Barry Road, feel free to swing by my office: Easley Chiropractic. If you are going to be in the are around lunch, PM me on here and we can go get lunch. Hope you enjoy Kansas City. |
