Well he got the nod here in Missouri. Does this make you happy or sad?
Personally I  am glad Romney didn't get it. I hate Mittens, Santorum would make a much better president.
What do you think?

I think that since he got about half of the 8% that vote....it don't mean shit...

Right now anything is better than Obama and there is a lot better than Romney......The election will be for the lesser evil either way.

The votes in the primary yesterday meant NOTHING.  Missouri is a caucus state.  The caucus is what decides who will get the delegates, NOT the primary.

Don't like either of them. Rick wants to put God in to everything and Mitt is a liberal liar.

Not that believing in God is a bad thing, just that peoples personal beliefs don't belong in government. Ask anybody with a blown off limb or a paraplegic whether stem cell research should be decided by religion. If you think otherwise maybe you should have a chat with a wounded vet.....

The only one worth a shit is Ron Paul. He may be a moon bat but he is the only one talking about liberty and how to take it back.

The only Politician in my adult lifetime who I trust believes things because he's convinced they're right, and not because some special interest paid him to think that way - Ron Paul.  At this point all I care about is trust in whom I vote for.

Santorum is just another typical corrupt Washington insider.  He lied about his kids residency to get a free education, and then when caught has the PA Dept of Education pay the bill.  He put forth legislation to make the only outlet with access to National Weather Service data be Accuweather, because he has long ties to the founder of Accuweather.  As a Meteorologist that is VERY troubling as the damage it would do to forcasting nationwide would be immense ... and a week after doing so, Accuweather made a big donation to Santorums Senate election fund.  Those two things are just scratching the surface.  There's a reason why he was in the Top 5 Most Corrupt Senators/Congressmen list for 3 years running.

Those without historical basis, or those who are just parroting the MSM, say Ron Paul is crazy.  But it's near impossible to find fault with ANY of his positions when viewed in a historical context.  Unfortunately History education is non-existent these days, and most are too lazy to read for themselves.

The way I see it that obunghole is the most horrid thing to happen to the office of the potus in over 100 years. Romney is only slightly better and Santorum is better than Romney even if he is not ideal.
I don't think a perfect candidate is out there nor will one ever be found. We just have to make do with what we have. To paraphrase a famous general, we don't go to elections with the candidate we want, we go with the one we have.

I kinda like Santorum. Surely a lot better than Obama

Paul is the one I like the most, but he doesn't have a chance against the machine.  Even then, with the rest of the crooks up there, he would have little chance.  Awe hell, I almost got started.

With the results under Bush and Obama being so similar ... loss of liberties, incredibly spending, expansion of entitlement programs, etc ... I'm not sure why people think Romney/Santorum/Gingrich would be that much better than Obama.

I would take Santorum over most of the choices out there.

The libertarian in me likes many of the things Paul says but then he starts talking about isolation of the US and letting Iran have nukes...

It is bad enough with the Obamanation actions toward Israel giving Iran the green light to do what ever they want, then Paul would just turn his back as the mushroom clouds rise....

Thanks Kurt, proves my point ... didn't hear anything about isolationism, or turning his back while mushroom clouds rise.

Not invading every country who doesn't sign a proclamation of unconditional love for the US and all it's policies does NOT equal isolationism.

Big difference in isolationism (what Dr. Paul is not) and non-interventionism (which is what Dr. Paul says).  Why is it my responsibility to fund the protection of other countries?

I agree 100% that we should pull our troops out of many of the countries or we should have them pay the cost of them being there.

I must be getting old.  I'm getting to the point that I can listen to what a politician says and read between the lines or should we say the lies.

That's funny, what disturbs me is that he's marganalized for holding that position by the mainstream neocons.  I'd say he pretty much nailed it in that video.

I think he pretty much nailed it in that video.  If they are looking to make a nuke, its only to keep people out of their business and out of their borders.  The fear mongers in the news media hype it up like as soon as they get a nuke they're going to lob it at us or Israel.  The fact is they can't, they don't have a delivery vehicle.  Not to mention the fact that they're not stupid.  They KNOW if they lobbed their one nuke at us or Israel that their entire country would cease to exist and glow in the dark for generations.  They want one for the same reason we do, it is a deterrent.

They haven't shown they can live peacefully with anyone for any serious length of time and they are majically going to start with nuking capabilities?

Haha, classic ... risking lives based on a hunch is foolish, taking them on a hunch is the American way.

I'll give you a hint: give up. People who think that the whole world has knives ready to stab in our ass as soon as we tweak the status quo are not possible to convince otherwise.

It's ironic that those who ARE ready to get at us are the ones we trained and to whom we gave their weapons and technology, i.e. those we "helped."

Well, I wouldn't say it's impossible to change peoples minds in that regard.  Afterall, this idea that America has the right to overthrow any government, or occupy any nation based on the obscure correlation to National Security is relatively new.  That idea will end at some point, and hopefully before it leads to the end of America as the Worlds last superpower.

Just one more thought, I hear every day that we should invade Iran because "they've waged a proxy war against us in Iraq".  Well, all I can say there is thank goodness Russia didn't feel the same way after we waged a decade long proxy war against them in Afghanistan, and in the process created the Taliban and Osama Bin Laden.  I have yet to hear a reason for action against Iran that isn't completely hypocritical.
